I’ve worked with college students, new moms, seasoned moms, therapists, and superwomen of other sorts and I’ve learned one thing- every woman needs a space where she can show up as her authentic self, in all of her imperfections (messy bun, sweatpants, and all) and receive the support, validation and encouragement that she deserves. That’s what you’re going to get when you work with me.
My clients will tell you that I am a straight shooter that keeps it real and is definitely not afraid to get in the middle of the mess with you! I will ask you the hard questions, but those questions always come with support, validation and encouragement. I want you to feel heard, accepted and safe to give you the space to share the deepest parts of yourself! Humor and cursing is allowed (and often encouraged), but do not be surprised if I join in with you! Our goal is to work as a team to find practical solutions, skills and tools that work for you and your life. Who says therapy has to always end with you leaving in tears?
Are you thinking about a stuffy, emotionless individual in a cardigan who sits across from you nodding, jotting down notes, and throwing in an occasional “and how does that make you feel?” That doesn’t exactly sound very helpful, does it? That’s the exact opposite of who I am as a therapist.

Beginning therapy can feel overwhelming for a variety of reasons. With the concerns related to insurance and costs, you may not know where to start. Here at Anchored Counseling Services, I strive to make that process as easy as possible and handle all insurance filings and payments so that you can focus on the things that matter most as you embark on your journey toward healing.
We are an in network provider with Aetna, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of NC, including the State Health Plan and United Healthcare. Unfortunately, we are considered to be an out of network provider with BCBS Blue Home and Blue Value Plans. The pricing information below is for self-pay and out of network clients. In the event that I am not in network with your insurance provider, I am happy to provide superbills for submission to your insurance company. For various reasons, some clients may also choose to forgo utilizing their insurance benefits and pay for services out-of-pocket. This allows us to focus on providing you with the most personalized care possible and not have the limits of that care potentially be dictated by insurance companies.
